In February 2021, UWNYC launched Together We Thrive in response to the disproportionate impact of Covid-19 on Black-owned businesses.

Together We Thrive (TWT) aimed to provide small businesses with access to capital, technical assistance, and opportunity networks to help them survive the pandemic and be a part of NYC’s economy. We stood up this ambitious effort in response to a crisis, met the moment by launching the TWT Black Business Network, and now have an opportunity to scale back our role providing direct services and support to TWT businesses to programs and organizations that have more capacity to provide the services and support small businesses need.
