Volunteer
Experience

As a volunteer, you can expand your own professional networks and experience, while supporting Black business owners during a critical and difficult time. The aim is to build deep and mutually fruitful relationships. There are two roles you can apply for as a volunteer:

Coach

A coach (also known as ‘mentor’)  is a volunteer who provides mentorship support to a small business with general guidance, advice, and/or strategy in a specific topic area. The Coach Role is longer term/ongoing.

Project Support

A project-specific volunteer is a volunteer who supports a small business by helping complete a specific project (ex. launching social media or reviewing a commercial lease). The timeline of a project-specific volunteer’s engagement is bound by the length of the task.
